The two offers
Gross monthly pay before CPF. Put the 13th month and any expected variable bonus together in months of pay.
| A year | Offer A | Offer B | Difference |

How to read it
Compare take-home after tax first, then the value of your time: pay per working hour and the leave days you get.
- Gross a year: 12 months of pay, plus bonus months, plus other cash such as fixed allowances or a sign-on bonus.
- Take-home: after your CPF and an estimate of income tax at resident rates, with CPF relief and earned income relief only. Other reliefs would lower the tax on both offers by the same amount.
- Employer CPF is shown separately. It is not cash in hand, but it is real money into your CPF accounts.
- Per working hour divides take-home by hours a week × 52, minus leave and 11 public holidays. A higher salary with longer hours can be worth less an hour.
- Not counted: medical cover, stock, training, commute, flexible work. Note them yourself beside the numbers.
Common questions
How do I compare two job offers with different bonuses?
Enter each bonus in months of pay, including the 13th month. The tool adds it to yearly gross, deducts CPF on it, and shows take-home for the year, so a higher base with a smaller bonus and a lower base with a bigger bonus can be compared on one line.
Is a variable bonus guaranteed?
No. Enter the amount you expect in a normal year, and run it again at 0 to see the floor.
Why is tax almost the same on both?
Tax is progressive, so a few hundred dollars more a month moves tax only a little. The CPF deduction changes more, up to the S$8,000 monthly ceiling.
Can I compare a Malaysia offer?
Not yet. A Malaysia take-home calculator is planned, and offers in different countries also need living costs taken into account.
